These include all fizzy drinks and especially energy drinks such as “V”, “Red Bull”, “E” and “Demon” etc. These are inappropriate for school as we are noticing that student behaviour is adversely affected, especially when these are consumed before school in the mornings. Access to the buildings During the current phase of construction, access to the school office is from the main field side of the school. From the car park, visitors will need to walk around the Tech Block to get to that door. This situation is likely to last all this term and we ask for your understanding and forbearance while this is going on. We can assure you that the result will be worth the wait and the hassle. Boys' Soccer Team Calling all boys from Year 9 to Year 13 who are interested in playing soccer. We are starting training on Wednesday afternoon from 3 to 5pm. No boots required. For more details talk to Alex, Jack, Bryn or Glenn. Limited transport back to Tuakau is available (on application!) School Camps In the coming week, there are two camping expeditions leaving the school. The Year 12 and 13 students are going to Turangi for four days for the annual Leadership course, while Year 7 and 8 will be over-nighting in the Ponganui Road area. Gifted and Talented Students A seminar for talented and gifted students is to be held at the Selwyn College in Kohimarama from 15 to 22 April. Canteen Menu for 23rd to 27th February Break two weekly specials (must be ordered): Monday – Tacos – Crisp taco shell filled with tomato and mince mix and salad. Will be messy! Tuesday – Hawaiian Mini Pizza – homemade base topped with pizza sauce, bacon, pineapple pieces and cheese. Wednesday – Roasted Chicken pieces – 2 pieces hot roast chicken with a buttered bun. Thursday – Cheeseburgers – Homemade meat pattie topped with melted cheese and salad in a fresh bun. Friday – Pie Day.
