Dear Parents

ANZAC Commemoration

The school will be holding its own ANZAC commemoration. The brief ceremony will be held at school at 1pm on Friday 23 April, on the courts outside the swimming pool. Parents and members of the community are welcome to attend.

Promotion of values

During last term, we were promoting the value of Excellence. Each week, we would recognise those students who had achieved excellence by presenting them with a certificate. This term, we are focusing on the value of Respect. Starting next week the certificates will be presented to those students who have demonstrated Respect in some form or another. A lot of discussion has been held with staff and students to teach how the value of respect can be recognised. This does not mean we have forgotten about Excellence. That value will still be promoted and recognised where it is appropriate to do so. Other values (Participation and Integrity) will be the subject of this special focus in Terms 3 and 4.
