Dear Parents
Parent Interviews
If you have not already sent an interview form to school, then the last chance to do so is tomorrow, Friday 30 July. Confirmation slips will be sent to you either Monday 2nd or Tuesday 3rd August.
When coming to the interviews, please make every effort to be on time – delays at one interview can have a domino effect through many others.
With the report this time, you will have received a survey form. Your views and impressions are important to us and we value your feedback. Please bring this form to the interview with you or send it in to the office.
Area School’s Tournament
In the first week of the holidays, and after weeks of fund raising, Jaydene Haku, Tyler Hira, Bryn Jenkins, Jack Crane, and Alex Voysey participated as part of the Central North Island representative team in the New Zealand Area School’s Tournament in Christchurch. Our students played in the volleyball, netball, and futsal (indoor soccer) competitions.
Competition was fierce, but all students played extremely well. Jack, Alex and Bryn were selected for North Island honours and a special congratulations go to Jack and Alex who were selected for the New Zealand futsal (indoor soccer) team.
Calf Club
Last days for tickets - $2 each!!
As students start the process of getting a calf for Calf Club, please take note of the breed of the animal. This information will be requested on the entry form. For cross breed calves, the sire (father) is the breed we go by. This information is used to classify the calves into competition groups on the day and at Group Day.
We have available some CD’s which show children and their parents all about caring for animals and preparing them for Calf Club Day. The CD’s are available at the office and are free.
The Calf Club Committee has an offer for well-made calf covers, lamb leads and collars. Information is available in the office and will be published in full next week.
