Teen cancer Support
Early next term, the school will be supporting the CanTeen organisation as part of their national fundraiser. Senior students will be going to Pukekohe to take part in the Bike Bash, based in the town square in King Street, and the rest of the school is invited to take part through a mufti day. The theme for this one is “Superhero.” All donations will go directly to support the CanTeen project.
VCR players, TVs, DVD players etc
If anyone has workable VCR players (or even workable DVD players or TVs) that are surplus to requirements, we’d be delighted to make use of them in the classrooms. If so, please contact the office.

2nd Hand Clothing
Dori Muir would greatly appreciate any good quality 2nd hand clothing adults or children. This will be to great use to the people of Tonga, who are in need of the clothing we don’t require. Please bring in to the school office.

Porse Pukekohe
Porse Pukekohe in conjunction with Brainwave Trust offer a community presentation on the importance of early childhood experiences for children’s brain development.

Onewhero Family Riding Group – Saturday 25th September 2010 Registration Day and First Rally of the Season
3pm for registration and 4pm for the rally
We welcome adults and children as members to our riding group. Activities consist of weekly Tuesday evening rallies from 6pm and monthly treks over the season. Fees are $50 for a single registration and $85 for a family. We cater for a wide range of levels of riders and have 2 – 3 rings each Tuesday evening.

Onewhero Early Childhood Centre
The OECC is holding a craft and food fair on Saturday 13 November, to raise funds for upgrading their facilities. Venue is the Onewhero Community Hall on Hall Road, 9am – 12 noon.
Come along for a fun morning of face painting, Devonshire teas, and view some local art work. Purchase some fresh produce, plants or many of the other goods we have on offer. It will be a great chance to purchase some goodies for Christmas. There will be activities for the children and some fantastic prizes are being raffled.
